Ms. Lihidheb is a highly experienced international project manager and energy efficiency (EE)
expert with over 28 years of experience. Her expertise spans various areas, including energy
policy, regulatory frameworks, and sustainable energy systems in the MENA region.
With more than 25 years of experience, Ms. Lihidheb has assisted public authorities and
policymakers in developing and implementing sustainable energy policy packages.
Ms. Lihidheb's extensive background includes designing, implementing, and monitoring EE
policies and programs targeting buildings, household appliances, and the industrial sector. She
has collaborated closely with national ministries in the MENA region, developing strong
relationships and fostering effective partnerships.
Throughout her career, Ms. Lihidheb has held managerial and leadership positions, including with
government bodies. She has successfully managed large-scale projects involving international
and local experts, while also engaging with public and private-sector counterparts.
Her expertise has been recognized by bilateral and multilateral donors, and she has served as a
team leader for EE projects funded by organizations such as the World Bank, UNDP, European
Union Delegation (EUD), KfW, UNIDO, UNEP, AFDB, AFD, GIZ, and others.
In addition to her technical expertise, Ms. Lihidheb has a strong capacity for raising awareness
and developing skills related to energy efficiency. She has conducted numerous workshops and
training sessions for diverse audiences, including government agencies, civil organizations,
technical experts, energy suppliers, manufacturers, and citizens.
Known for her diplomacy and effective leadership, Ms. Lihidheb has a proven track record of
addressing complex issues and delivering successful outcomes. Currently, she holds the position
of Senior International Expert with the Canadian consulting firm ECONOLER. She holds a degree
in chemical engineering and an MBA from the Mediterranean School of Business.
